A web app for finding personal data breach records by company, service, or type of exposed information. Review reported developments, information types, and source references together, then print an individual report or save the collected-record analysis as a PDF.
No installation or sign-in is required. Use a desktop or mobile web browser.
Features
- Search by keyword, classification, section, reference month, or a specific calendar date
- Inspect and print individual details and sources
- Analyze records by period and section, then print or save a PDF
- View and download incident reports, reference images, and rating criteria
- Separate S/A/B/C ratings, pending assessment (!), and reference records (—)
Getting started
- Choose “Open web app” and search by company, service, or information type. Refine results by rating, section, reference month, or a single reference date selected from the calendar.
- Select an incident to review its developments, exposed information, assessment, and sources. Use the detail page’s print button to output that record.
- Open “Trends” to summarize a selected period and section. “Resources & criteria” provides the incident report PDF and reference image for viewing and download.
Coverage and interpretation
Use the published content as reference information. Always verify accurate information on the relevant official websites and other official sources.
The database covers standard nationwide records in Japan, selected international records, and related reference records. International coverage highlights notable incidents rather than attempting to cover every case worldwide. Nagano incidents meeting the standard nationwide criteria remain eligible; no Nagano-specific supplements or features are added.
S/A/B/C are editorial assessments of information risk to affected people, rather than corporate fault or liability. “!” means insufficient information or assessment pending, rather than low risk or safety. “—” marks reference records excluded from risk statistics.
Statistics count collected records by reference date. They do not count independent attacks or victims, or represent changes in incidents across society. Duplicate history is excluded from default search and statistics; you can opt to display it in search.
Data and updates
Source facts, assessments, and actual check times are preserved. Check the edition and information-check timestamp shown inside the database. Records that could not be rechecked are distinguished from verified records.
Incident text and original documents remain in Japanese. The interface is available in Japanese and English. See “Resources & criteria” and “Credits” for original materials, references, and usage notices.
