What it does
Y-TEC Data Capsule collects data commonly needed during a PC migration, including documents, desktop files, mail, browser bookmarks, postcard software, and accounting-software data, into a newly created backup folder. Version 1.2.0 includes Japanese and English interfaces and manuals, initially following the Windows display language.
It detects the Windows drive and copies only files already available on the PC. Cloud-only files are not downloaded automatically.
Getting started
Choose the items and destination, then review the read-only preview for file count, size, and cautions before starting. Wi-Fi profiles and browser bookmarks have dedicated restore screens. The manual explains where to place other data on the new PC and how to import it into supported applications.
Data and safety
The source data is never deleted, moved, renamed, or overwritten, and existing backups are not replaced. On NTFS, permission changes are limited to the newly created output folder. exFAT continues with a clear warning and recorded limitation, while FAT32 is rejected before copying.
Wi-Fi settings use a transferable embedded-key encryption model whose resistance to expert analysis is limited. The official compatibility input is kept outside the public source and embedded only in a controlled local official build. The official Wi-Fi input and saved formats are unchanged. A normal public-source build uses a documented public development key and is intentionally incompatible with official-release Wi-Fi backups. Follow vendor instructions first for enterprise Wi-Fi, accounting software, and cloud-only data.
About this build
Source and direct downloads were republished on September 29, 2026. The version remains 1.2.0, with refreshed manuals and distribution guidance. Downloads are freshly built from the current source; old history, executables and ZIPs are not republished.
The portable download uses Y-TEC self-signing, not a Microsoft- or commercial-CA-trusted certificate. SmartScreen warnings may appear. The public CER is optional verification material; the app never installs certificates. SignPath is a future candidate and was not used for this release. See the Code signing policy and GitHub Release for the signing and validation scope.

No Store edition is published. Update into a separate folder and keep existing backups and the previous folder. Older-OS compatibility results are historical; those OS versions were not retested for this republication. The source is available under Apache License 2.0.
