What it does
Keisai is a simple ruled-notebook-style sticky-note app that you can place anywhere on your Windows desktop. Version 1.6.0 lets you switch among multiple pages in one window, with each page keeping its own content and background.
It includes text formatting, ten background and text-color choices, stable bullet editing, Undo and Redo, in-note search, clear formatting, and paste as plain text. Deleting a page requires confirmation, and the final remaining page cannot be deleted.
Getting started
For everyday use, install the recommended Store edition with the “Get it from Microsoft Store” button above. Updates are delivered through Microsoft Store. If you want to carry the whole app folder on USB storage or Google Drive, extract the portable ZIP and launch Keisai.exe.
Both editions let you show, hide, close, or configure startup behavior from the tray icon. When portable-edition startup is enabled, a signed local copy of Keisai starts from Windows local storage and safely waits until its Google Drive or similar data location becomes readable and writable. See the Japanese user manual for illustrated instructions.
Data and safety
The Store edition saves notes and settings in its Windows app-specific storage, while the portable edition saves them in a data folder beside the executable. The two locations remain separate, and data is not moved between editions automatically. The source code is available under the Apache License 2.0.
Keisai does not use network communication, ads, analytics, authentication, or cloud sync. Notes are not encrypted, so do not use it for sensitive information and back up the whole app folder when needed.
About this build
Keisai 1.6.0 is now officially available from Microsoft Store. The Store edition is recommended for everyday use, while Forge and GitHub provide a Y-TEC self-signed portable edition for environments without Store access and for portable use.
The portable edition remains a preview distribution. It does not install its certificate into Windows trust stores or guarantee that SmartScreen warnings will be avoided. The SignPath Foundation application was not accepted, so the current distribution paths are Microsoft Store and the Y-TEC self-signed edition.
On September 28, 2026, the portable package and Japanese manual were freshly generated from the current 1.6.0 source and republished. App features and saved-data formats are unchanged. The source uses a new public snapshot; the same release files are also available from GitHub Release v1.6.0.

Release history
Keisai 1.6.0 passed Microsoft Store certification and is now officially available, with the Store edition recommended for everyday use.
Added page-specific backgrounds, stable bullets, Undo/Redo, in-note search, format clearing, and plain-text paste, then submitted the Microsoft Store build for certification.
Statically linked the startup helper runtime so it works without the Visual C++ Redistributable installed.
Published the source code under Apache License 2.0 and improved monitor restoration and automatic startup.
Saved window position and size per monitor setup, added backup recovery, and improved the Google Drive startup wait.
Kept the note window inside a visible monitor after monitor-layout changes and when a saved window was too large.
Renamed Y-TEC Sticky Note to Keisai and prepared the user manual, terms, and public distribution package.
Improved formatting synchronization and list restoration, and expanded both background and text colors to ten choices.
